South Africa defeated 2009 champion team England by six runs in a thrilling match in the semi-finals played on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss in the match played in Cape Town, South Africa scored 164 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. Tajmin Brits scored 68 runs in 55 balls and L Wolvaardt scored 53 runs in 44 balls. In response, the England team could only manage 158 runs after losing eight wickets in 20 overs.
